EZEATS EH Privacy Policy

Updated September 20, 2026.

EZEATS EH is operated by EZ-EATS EH LLC. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our food recommendation website at ezeats-eh.com. Contact us with privacy questions at ezeats44@gmail.com.

Information you provide

Account information. If you create an account using email, Apple, or Google, our authentication provider, Clerk, processes the information needed to create and secure your account. This may include your email address, name, profile image, provider account identifier, and sign-in records. Apple may provide a private relay email address when you choose Hide My Email. Passwords and verification codes are handled by our authentication provider; our meal recommendation code does not read them.

Google sign-in requests basic identity information: your account identifier, email address, and basic profile. EZEATS EH uses this information to identify you, manage your account, and let you return to your saved preferences. It does not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts, calendar, or Google Drive files.

Optional profile answers. You can save food preferences such as diet, spice tolerance, favorite cuisines, favorite food types, ingredient dislikes, favorite restaurant names, allergies, cooking time, budget, and eating habits. Favorite restaurant names are saved for future restaurant recommendations; nearby restaurant search is not yet available. You can also choose to provide personal information such as your name, age range, gender, relationship status, student status, and pregnancy status. These questions are optional, and you can skip setup or leave individual answers blank.

Allergy and pregnancy answers can reveal sensitive health-related information. Saving your profile saves any such answers you choose to enter. Avoid entering information you do not want stored with your account. These answers are not posted publicly or shared with other users.

Messages to us. If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message and your contact details.

Recent meal picks. When signed in, selecting “That’s the one” saves the meal identifier, a choice identifier, and the time with your account. We keep up to 20 recent confirmed picks to favor cuisines you have chosen and reduce recent repeats. These are choices within EZEATS, not verified purchases or meals eaten. Choices made before this feature launched are not reconstructed. You can remove this history using Clear recent picks on the personal meal picker. Guest choices are not saved to this history.

Guest use and technical information

You can use the meal picker without an account. Guest meal choices are held in the page's memory and are not saved as an account profile. Closing or reloading the page resets those choices.

Guest use still involves ordinary website requests. Our hosting and authentication providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, and security or error logs to deliver and protect the service. Authentication uses cookies or similar browser storage to manage sign-in sessions. Blocking required authentication storage may prevent sign-in from working.

How we use information

We use account information to authenticate users and associate saved preferences with the correct account. Saved food preferences help filter and rank meals from our curated list. We also use information to operate the website, troubleshoot problems, protect accounts, and respond to requests.

Not every questionnaire answer currently affects recommendations. Personal demographic answers and pregnancy status are not used to rank meals or assess medical needs. Allergy screening is limited to our meal data and cannot verify ingredient brands or cross-contact. Recommendations are not medical advice or a guarantee that a meal is safe for an allergy.

The current recommendation feature runs in your browser. It does not send your answers to an external generative AI service. The current website does not include advertising pixels or a feature that sells your profile information.

Service providers and information sharing

We use Clerk for authentication and storage of account-linked preferences, and Vercel for website hosting and server functions. Apple or Google also processes your sign-in when you choose its service. Account and profile information passes through the providers needed to deliver these features. Authorized EZEATS personnel and service providers may access information as needed to operate, support, or protect the service; “private to your account” does not mean inaccessible to the operator or its providers.

These providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their services are also subject to their respective privacy notices: Clerk, Vercel, Apple, and Google.

We may disclose information when required by applicable law or when necessary to address fraud, abuse, or threats to the security of the service.

Storage, retention, and your choices

Profile answers and up to 20 recent meal picks are stored as account-linked private metadata in Clerk. The website's profile service requires an authenticated session before reading, changing, or deleting those answers or picks. History-based ranking uses picks from the last 90 days; stored picks remain until displaced by newer picks, cleared, or the account is deleted. Clearing recent picks resets history-based personalization without changing your stated preferences. Deleting preferences alone does not clear recent picks. Connections use HTTPS. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Saved preferences remain associated with your account until you change or delete them or delete your account. In Settings, you can clear individual answers, save updated preferences, or select Delete saved preferences. Deleting preferences does not delete your sign-in account. Manage account provides account controls, including account deletion. Removing the connection in Apple or Google alone does not necessarily delete your EZEATS account or saved profile.

You can also contact ezeats44@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner. Deletion from the active application does not necessarily immediately remove security logs or provider backups; their retention depends on operational requirements and provider practices.

Age requirement

EZEATS accounts are available to people age 13 and older. After your first sign-in, we ask you to confirm this once before beginning personalized setup or accessing saved preferences. We save your age-eligibility confirmation and its date with your account so you do not need to repeat it when signing in again or using another device. A previously saved confirmation of being 14 or older also meets this requirement. This is a self-declaration, not identity or age verification; we do not collect a date of birth for this check. The optional age-range question in Settings starts at 13–17 and is separate from eligibility confirmation.

If you believe someone under 13 has created an account, contact ezeats44@gmail.com so we can investigate and address the account and associated information. The guest meal picker does not require an account.

Reviews and public feedback

If you submit a review, we store your comment, optional display name and rating, submission identifier, submission date, and moderation status in a Neon-hosted database. Reviews remain private until approved. Approved display names, comments, ratings, and submission dates appear publicly. Positive and negative feedback are welcome. Do not include private or sensitive information.

We use a short-lived, salted hash derived from your network address to limit spam; the review database does not store the raw address. These limit records expire after a day and are removed during later submissions. Reviews remain until removed by the operator. Contact ezeats44@gmail.com to request removal; because guest names are unverified, we may ask for details to identify your submission. Deleting an EZEATS account does not automatically remove a guest review. Neon processes the review data to provide database hosting.

Invitation-only recipe contributors

Selected existing, age-eligible account holders may receive contributor access from an authorized owner. Owners resolve an existing verified email through Clerk; our Neon database records the account identifier, inviting owner, invitation dates, expiration and revocation. Invitations do not create an account or send an email. Public submissions and image uploads are disabled.

We store recipe drafts, ingredients, instructions, source and copyright statements, public author attribution, dietary and allergen claims, revisions and moderation decisions. Do not include sensitive personal information in recipes. Your profile answers are not copied into recipe records. Unpublished content is accessible to its contributor and authorized owners. Owners can see the submitting account privately. Owner notes remain private; a separate explanation may be shared with the contributor. Invitation lists, account IDs and private audit records are not published.

Owners alone approve publication. Published recipes and chosen author attribution are public, along with applicable source credit. Choose a name you are comfortable making public. Editorial approval is not kitchen testing, medical advice, verified allergy safety or a cross-contact guarantee. Check ingredients, substitutions, package labels and safe food handling.

Contributor permission and removal

By confirming the recipe permission in the contributor form, you confirm that the recipe is original or that you have permission to submit it, and allow EZEATS to retain, review and display approved revisions with attribution, including after account deletion until a removal decision. This does not transfer copyright or give other users a reuse license. Identify sources and the basis of permission when applicable.

You may withdraw an unpublished editable draft. Contact ezeats44@gmail.com about pending or published content, rights concerns, attribution changes or deletion requests. Withdrawal or removal preserves private revisions and moderation history; it is not immediate erasure. Deleting your sign-in account ends access but does not automatically remove published recipes. Owners review account deletion and pending content; published recipes remain attributed until a removal decision under this policy. Account deletion does not grant new publication permission.

Contributor retention and recovery copies

We retain active recipes and revisions needed to support them while they are used. The EZEATS owner is responsible for reviewing withdrawn, rejected or unpublished content for deletion or minimization within 90 days of withdrawal, account-deletion reconciliation or a valid deletion request, subject to documented rights or dispute needs. Associated private audit records are reviewed for minimization after 12 months unless needed for active publication or a documented dispute. These are manual review deadlines, not automatic erasure promises. Requests are assessed individually, including any rights-holder or record-preservation obligations.

The production database currently has a six-hour recovery-history window. Separately retained recovery branches can keep older copies beyond that window until they are retired; the history window is not a guarantee that all copies are erased after six hours. Recovery copies are restricted to operational recovery. Before restoring service from a backup, owners must reapply recorded removal and deletion decisions. The application does not automatically purge immutable revisions or backup copies.

This beta uses existing Clerk, Neon and Vercel services. It adds no advertising, tracking, email distribution or external recipe provider.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our information practices change and show the effective date on the published page. If we introduce materially different uses of account or profile information, we will provide notice and obtain consent where required before applying those uses.
